How this project works
Track-Day.eu is a small independent project. This page explains how Track-Day.eu works, how event data is sourced, how AI is used, and how privacy is handled.
Disclaimer
Track-Day.eu is a personal side project built for the track day community. I do not process bookings, payments, or registrations. The site only helps visitors discover events and continue to the organizer's own website.
The project is provided as-is. I do my best to keep information useful and up to date, but I cannot guarantee that every listing, date, or detail is always correct. For anything important, please confirm directly with the organizer.
This page is intentionally available only in English. That is a deliberate choice to avoid translation mistakes or ambiguous wording on topics where clarity matters.
This page exists to explain openly how the project works. If anything here is unclear, you can always reach me at info@track-day.eu.
How event data is collected
Some event listings are collected with scrapers. These scrapers only access information that is already publicly available, either by loading public web pages or by calling public API endpoints.
If you operate a website and do not want it to be included, contact me at info@track-day.eu and I will remove it from automated collection as quickly as I can.
If you would prefer to provide an official feed or manage your event data directly, I would genuinely appreciate that. It would improve accuracy and make the project easier to maintain.
Revenue
Track-Day.eu currently generates no revenue. There are no paid placements, no ads, and no sponsor arrangements at this time.
I currently cover the operating cost myself, which is roughly 20 EUR per month plus development time.
If that changes in the future, I will state it clearly on this page.
Privacy and tracking
There is no analytics tracking on this site, and I do not want to build this project around tracking users.
Like most web applications, the backend may temporarily handle IP addresses at the infrastructure level. In a few specific cases, such as contact or feedback routes, an obfuscated IP may be stored to enforce rate limits and protect the service from abuse.
That information is only used for security and stability. It is not used to profile visitors, fingerprint users, or analyze personal browsing behavior.
AI usage
AI tools are used to help build parts of this project, especially the frontend, non-core backend work, many of the scrapers, and all translations used on the site.
The reason is simple: this is a solo project built in my free time. AI helps me move faster, fix issues sooner, and maintain parts of the site that would otherwise be difficult for one person to keep up with alone.
That said, responsibility stays with me. AI assistance does not replace review, judgment, or accountability for what is published here.
